Here, for instance, we are able to build big, flaky particles like snow, which sink to the floor, or small ones that float through the air. For example, the size, the type of particle, the speed or direction. As the name suggests, one can produce particles with the effect and adjust them using various parameters. Below we will look at the tool “CC Particle Systems II”, which I recommend for the creation of the pollen. The program offers many possibilities for creating particles. By changing the parameter you can also produce further effects with the volumetric particles such as snow or rain. I will explain this by creating an atmospheric dust effect. In the following software tutorial we will look at the particle system, one of the many fundamental tools of the program which enable us to produce animations. Last Changes, Transformation into a Loop Video and Rendering. In many areas there are similarities with fellow Adobe suite programs Photoshop and Premiere, meaning that it will be easy to adapt if you have prior knowledge with either of them. If desired it can also be combined with camera produced content. It is used to produce visual effects (vfx), motion graphics and animations. In contrast to Adobe Photoshop, which primarily introduces itself as a photo editing program, and Adobe Premiere, of which the focus lies on video editing, Adobe After Effects is a composting and animation software. In this first part of my two part series of AE tutorials I give an introduction to the program and explain the commonly used floating dust particle effect, which you can use in your photos to transform them into loop videos. One of the most popular programs for this is the post-production and animation program Adobe After Effects. They offer the possibility to bring even still images alive. Animated photos are a popular alternative to video based cinemagraphs.

It is a visual reminder of the love and commitment that they made to each other on their wedding day. When the couple lights the unity candle together, they are symbolizing their commitment to each other and the joining of their lives into one.Īdditionally, the flame of the unity candle represents the light and love that the couple will share throughout their marriage. The two separate candles represent the individual lives and families of the bride and groom. The symbolism behind the unity candle is powerful. Typically, the mothers of the bride and groom light the two separate candles, and then the bride and groom use those candles to light the unity candle together. The unity candle ceremony also became an opportunity for the couple to involve their families in the wedding ceremony. The lighting of the unity candle was seen as a way for the couple to symbolize their commitment to each other and their new life together. In the 1960s, the unity candle tradition became more widespread and began to be incorporated into non-religious wedding ceremonies as well. This candle became known as the unity candle. Couples began to light a single candle together, symbolizing the unity of their two lives and families. Over time, this tradition evolved and became more personalized. This symbolized the joining of two families into one. In the past, the bride and groom would light two separate candles, which would then be used to light a larger, central candle. The origin of the unity candle can be traced back to the Christian faith. The custom of lighting a single candle as a symbol of unity, however, has been around for centuries. The tradition of lighting a unity candle during a wedding ceremony is a relatively new one, dating back only to the 1960s. The unity candle ceremony is a beautiful and meaningful addition to any wedding ceremony, and it provides an opportunity for couples to express their love and commitment to each other in a unique way. Some couples choose to have their parents or other family members light the taper candles, representing the merging of both families. The bride and groom each take a lit taper candle and use them to light a larger pillar candle that symbolizes their union. The unity candle ceremony typically takes place after the exchange of vows and rings. The lighting of the unity candle represents the merging of two families and the creation of a new one. The tradition of lighting a unity candle began in the 1960s in the United States and has since become a popular addition to wedding ceremonies. One of these customs is the use of unity candles in modern wedding ceremonies. Over the years, wedding traditions have evolved, and new customs have emerged to make the event more special and meaningful. Weddings are a momentous occasion that celebrates the love and commitment between two people. However, many Catholic churches do not allow a candle ceremony as it is not a traditional part of a wedding ceremony. The History and Significance of Unity Candles in Modern Wedding Ceremonies This ceremony has no religious affiliations and can be included into any type of wedding ceremony. Some couples choose to blow out their family candles once the unity candle has been lit, however this part may offend some families. The unity candle also represents the bride and groom starting a new family separately as a married couple. The large unity candle represents the joining of the couple’s families together as one. Once the bride and groom exchange their wedding vows, they each take one of the family candles and light a larger unity candle together. These candles represent the bride’s and groom’s families, one candle to symbolize each family. Many couples even have their grandparents or fathers included in the lighting of the individual candles as well. Typically, the mothers of the bride and groom will light individual candles right before a wedding ceremony begins. Even though this ceremony is only a more recent addition to weddings, we do appreciate the meaning behind this tradition. It mostly began as a Christian tradition, but then spread very quickly to be included in all types of American weddings. It is believed that the tradition of including a unity candle into a wedding ceremony began sometime in the 1970s. So much for a long standing tradition, huh? This is surprising to say the least as a large number of weddings today do take part in a candle lighting. This may be surprising to today’s engaged couple, but the candle ceremony tradition didn’t begin until only about 30 to 40 years ago. Photo Credit: Casa Carioka Wedding Traditions Explained: Unity CandleĬhances are if you’ve been to a wedding before, you’ve probably seen a unity candle ceremony. The company is expected to roll out the features to all users once testing is concluded. There's no word on when layers and transparency support will make its way to all users on Windows 11 - Microsoft is currently trialling the new functionality with Windows Insider testers on the Canary and Dev channels on version 11.2308.18.0 or newer. When the image is ready to be saved, Paint will save it as a PNG file with the transparency - the application previously saved the image after filling the transparent areas with a white background. With the new transparency support MS Paint's eraser tool can also remove the background selectively, making it transparent. Users will now be able to open and edit transparent images (like PNGs) on the application, which will show a duotone checkerboard pattern as the background for parts of the image that are transparent.
Encarnacion put up great numbers in Toronto, and he did it with a lot of confidence that to this day makes him a memorable franchise player. In addition, he was a big presence in terms of offense for the Jays. Closing StatementĮdwin Encarnacion is definitely worthy of the Level of Excellence, as he helped give the Jays a lot of success. His impressive numbers and stats with the Jays help make his case for the Level of Excellence. His bat was lethal as he finished off the 2015 season with 39 home runs and 111 RBI. One of Encarnacion’s assets was his powerful swing. It got the crowd very excited as it brought the Jays back into the game. The ball was crushed and hit high and deep into the seats. Edwin tied the game 2-2 with his solo homer. But Edwin’s home run in the bottom of the sixth inning deserves credit as well. With good preparation, you will make it.Bautista’s epic bat-flip homer in the seventh inning of Game Five gets a lot of praise and recognition. The game is hard but it feels like it was build in a way that it encourages you to get the rewards from exploring for an easier but still challenging gameplay. Quests are also a nice way to get experience. Honestly the game world is interesting enough that clearing up most of the map before finishing the story is worth it. I would suggest to at least clear up the 2 first sets of zones before starting the 2nd act of the main quest and from then on, clear up the other zones as you need them to advance. If you are not against using the console, adding some carry weight and turn on the option to see all the dungeons (unexplored of course) will allow you to go on a full trip of each zone before you go back to Ark to get new supplies. The experience is good enough that you will get a couple of levels while you are out there and the enemies will still be challenging. Then when ready, go clear out the zones above for experience and loot, I highly suggest to do the zones from easiest to hardest. Before each trip, get into the habit of spending most of it on some potions, ambrosia, teleport scrolls and extra skills books. Your pennies is one of your most valuable resource and you should not be afraid to use it. Good preparation will make the exploration worth it, Enderal is full of wonderful vistas and interesting dungeons and stories that will keep you busy for hours! This is where taking the time to explore the zones and do quests for experience becomes more important. At some point in that act you will be going to Fogville which can be too hard if you are too low level or don’t have good enough gear. You will probably be able to go through the main quest without too much exploring until the second act which start with the “ Fragments of the Past” quest. The other thing that players will notice is that combat is hard enemies are strong and using potions/magic will increase your arcane fever which can eventually kill you, while this can be kept under control, it can be a bit overwhelming at first.īelow is my order of the zones from easiest to hardest:Ģ.Heartlands, Western Cliff, Farmers CoastĤ.Dark Valley, Goldenforst, King’s Mountain Pass The main issue that new players might run into is that the Learning and Crafting books can get quite expensive to buy from vendors and while they can be found in the game world, there is definitely not enough out there to get you maxed out. Leveling up will also let you choose to increase your health, stamina or mana as well as giving you a memory point that you can then use on different perks trees. Using the book will increase the skill that it applies to and use a learning or crafting point. Leveling up will award you Learning and Crafting points that you can then use via learning/crafting books of the skill of your choice. Instead of getting levels by leveling your skills, you will instead receive experience by completing quests, defeating enemies and crafting. When you first play Enderal, you will notice that the leveling system is quite different. Thankfully, once you understand how the game is meant to be played, it becomes much easier. For people that haven’t played the original Enderal, they might feel unprepared for the new systems and how difficult the gameplay might seems. Enderal is a total conversion of The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim, it does not have any connection to Skyrim other than the fact that it uses Skyrim’s engine and some of the gameplay mechanics. Enderal’s long awaited dlc Forgotten Stories finally released on Steam on Valentine’s day. The end point of a potassium dichromate(VI) titration isn't as easy to see as the end point of a potassium manganate(VII) one. However, the color is made difficult by the strong green also present. This gives a violet-blue color in the presence of excess potassium dichromate(VI) solution. There are several such indicators - such as diphenylamine sulfonate. These change color in the presence of an oxidising agent. With potassium dichromate(VI) solution you have to use a separate indicator, known as a redox indicator. Unfortunately potassium dichromate(VI) solution turns green as you run it into the reaction, and there is no way you could possibly detect the color change when you have one drop of excess orange solution in a strongly colored green solution. As soon as you add as much as one drop too much, the solution becomes pink - and you know you have reached the end point. As you run the potassium manganate(VII) solution into the reaction, the solution becomes colorless. 243361 Chromium (III) potassium sulfate dodecahydrate Write a review Ask a question ACS reagent, 98 Synonym (s): Chrome alum, Potassium chromium (III) sulfate dodecahydrate Linear Formula: CrK (SO4)2 12H2O CAS Number: Molecular Weight: 499.40 EC Number: 233-401-6 MDL number: MFCD00149917 PubChem Substance ID: 329752454 NACRES: NB. The main disadvantage lies in the color change. That means that you don't get unwanted side reactions with the potassium dichromate(VI) soution. Potassium manganate(VII) oxidises chloride ions to chlorine potassium dichromate(VI) isn't quite a strong enough oxidising agent to do this. Potassium dichromate(VI) can be used in the presence of chloride ions (as long as the chloride ions aren't present in very high concentration). That isn't true of potassium manganate(VII). That means that it can be made up to give a stable solution of accurately known concentration.
Meanwhile, let’s breathe a sigh of relief that someone already did that hard work for us, and let’s hook up simdjson parser into Hermes VM object creation: Of course, in reality, it’s far, far more complicated – check out Daniel Lemire’s blog if you want to learn how to use juicy APIs like _mm256_cmpgt_epi8 to do SIMD magic yourself. As you can imagine, the second way is absurdly more performant. Another is to use a SIMD instruction that will compare a 64-byte chunk of text to 64 repeated " characters and report which bytes are equal. One way is to increment an index until buffer = '"'. Basically, instead of processing it character by character, it does it in chunks of up to 512 bits (64 characters) per CPU instruction! Imagine trying to find the end of a JSON string. It can process gigabytes of JSON per second thanks to clever use of SIMD instructions. If you’ve never heard of it, simdjson is (to my knowledge) the world’s fastest JSON parser. The first thing I tried was to use simdjson. Step 1: Parse JSON using SIMD instructions Improving V8 (Chrome, Node) or JSC (Safari, Bun) would have greater impact, but Hermes is relevant to my work. The JavaScript engine we’ll target is Hermes, used primarily by React Native. By making it twice as fast, it could have real impact on users, as opposed to optimizing some obscure microbenchmark. There are real world use cases where you’d want to parse large JSONs, such as initial login to an offline-first app, or deserializing persisted state at launch. We’ll make a common operation, JSON.parse(), faster. Speed is a feature, and when working in an interpreted language, squeezing every last bit of performance can be the difference between a great product and unusable garbage.Īnyway, how cool would it be to make JavaScript itself go faster? I’m not a C++ programmer, but that didn’t stop me before, so I thought I’d give it a try anyway! The objective Part of my job is to make JavaScript things go fast. Used as working and hunting dogs, the Golden Retriever breed originated in Scotland in the mid-18th century, where it would hunt and retrieve small felled game during hunting trips. When it comes to the perfect family dog, it’s hard to go wrong with a Golden Retriever. Read on to learn more about the Golden Retriever. And although the breed differs slightly from Britain to North America, there’s no change in its friendly and loving disposition. If you’re looking for a watchdog, you’d best go with another breed – since the Golden Retriever is so friendly, it will want to play with strangers, making it a poor choice for guard duty.īecause this breed is so smart, Golden Retrievers make excellent guide and service dogs. Wonderful around children of all ages, this breed is the ideal companion for most dog lovers. Obedient, good-natured, intelligent, eager to please and eager to learn, the Golden Retriever is also known for its friskiness – you’ll find that it never loses its joy for playing. First bred for hunting, the Golden Retriever has made a natural progression into a wonderful family pet. The truth is probably a combination of all of these, as the Chinese Crested was believed to have descended from African roots. Those who do believe the Chinese Crested originated in China note that the Chinese Crested had a lot of maritime experience, being brought around by Chinese sailors. (Note: Of course, the 19th century is far off from the origins of the more ancient Chinese breeds.) Because there is genetic evidence of being related to the Mexican Hairless, this further confuses the issue, although following the genetic line will probably lead you to form a more accurate opinion. Where, then, do Chinese Crested dogs hail from? Many believe it’s actually Africa, being referred to as an African Hairless Terrier in texts across the 19th century. The Chinese Crested has too recent a history to be counted among those breeds in pure historical longevity. For one, the Chinese Crested does not keep in line with a number of ancient Chinese dogs like the Pug or the Chow Chow. The Chinese Crested dog is considered among the best companion breeds for a number of reasons.ĭespite what its name suggests, many people do not believe that the Chinese Crested actually originated in China. If there ever was a “house dog,” this is one. If you have the opportunity to acquire one for yourself and make it a part of your family, you’ll find it makes an ideal pet for households with small children and it’s a dog that won’t make strangers feel unwelcome. Both types are odorless, non-shedding, and hypo-allergenic, which makes them a great dog for allergy sufferers. There are two kinds of Chinese Crested dogs – the Powderpuff and the Hairless. In other words, acquiring a Chinese Crested for yourself and your family can be a great decision indeed. The Chinese Crested dog is considered among the best companion breeds for a number of reasons: not only for those mentioned, but for its appearance, general demeanor, and ability to perform tricks. If you’ve been looking for a breed of dog that makes an excellent companion in a myriad of ways – avoids barking, gets along with children, and gets along with other dogs – you could do far, far worse than opt for a Chinese Crested. |
